For the Midori Haiku Magazine project, I designed a unique two-sided publication. While traditional haiku anthologies often embrace minimalism, I aimed to balance this aesthetic with the deep feelings these type ofpoems can invoke
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Collage, Paper Textures, Haiku Poems, Book Binding








One side features origami outlines and digital text, reflecting the traditional Japanese style, read backward as per Japanese culture. On the other side, collage-style layouts incorporate scanned words and images from print media, creating dynamic digital collages.

Both approaches intricately weave together type and image, blending digital and handmade elements to reimagine the presentation of haiku. This innovative approach pays homage to the tradition while infusing it with contemporary flair. The brand system included a logo and an Instagram account.
